A Long Overdue Update

Well, I know it has been a while since I have updated, so here it goes.
I am STILL pregnant...hopefully not too much longer though! I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks and was on bedrest for 2 weeks, and modified bedrest for 1 week (what does that mean, modified, really?!!)...Between Josh, my mom, and my mother in law, I was able to stick pretty good to the bed rest regimen. Everyone was so sweet and helpful! At first Aiden had a hard time not being with me 24/7, but now he just waves and says "BYE Momma!" hehe! I think he's gotten used to the idea of going!

I am currently 38 weeks and ready! Everyday I am hoping this will be the day. I don't get a ton of sleep anymore, not only because I have to get up to go to the restroom about 3 times a night, but because every contraction I have makes me think that maybe I'll be going into labor and I'm too excited to sleep. That excitement catches up with me around 4am everytime!

Aiden is getting soooo big and talking like crazy! His big thing right now is, "I do it!" He is terribly independent! It really is a good thing, but can lead to some serious frustration on his part when its something he just can't do. He has learned that "Your Welcome" goes with "Thank You" and I must say its too cute to hear him say it. His language that we don't completely understand still seems to run the majority of his vocabulary though. He will repeat just about anything, and even more so if his cousin Gavin is asking him to.

Josh has been busy between work and scouts, and man does scouts keep him busy!!! He is wonderful at what he does for these boys and he truely cares for them! They just recently went on a 20 Mile hike!!! I can't even fathom the thought of walking ALL DAY LONG! They started at 6am and finished around 6pm. Way to go Guys!! I think I am in the clear to have a baby at this point, all of the big scouting events are done for at least a couple weeks...I think...hehe!

Our Trip to Arizona! We Miss You Uncle Travis!

My brother moved to Arizona in September of 2001, just before 9/11! We have done our level best to either fly him here, or go there several times a year every year since. We are an extremly close family, so having him so far away is very hard. We miss him incredibly, but the opportunities and lifestyle out there fit him to a T and I wouldn't ask for anything less for him! He is an amazing brother, and just as good of an uncle.
We flew about 2 weeks ago, and Aiden flew like a champ. As we went through the checkin, and security, people kept asking if this was his first flight. I was happy to say Nope, this is like his umm 5th! We have had Aiden on an airplane from the time he was 4 months old...I didn't even fly for the first time until I was 15 I think.
We had a great time visiting with Travis and his girlfriend, Jess! Aiden now has quite a little crush on Jess! hehe! By the end of the first day he could say her name! Watch out Trav, you may have some competition! Here are some pics of our stay!!

Baby Lilac and My AMAZING entreprenure friend!!!

So, while I was in college, I took an entreprenureship class, and the one thing you heard over and over again, was get out there, and find out what isn't being offered and offer it! Well, that is just what Mrs. Brittany Nabrotzky did! I am beyond proud of her, her hardwork, and all the stress and long nights that come along with the territory. She is pretty amazing! Here is her story!!!

I am finally at a point in this business where I can post about it. It has been a crazy whirlwind around the Nabrotzky house for quite a few months. A few months back I was in Tennessee at church. I was bouncing Paisley in the hall trying to get her to fall asleep. The more I tried to get her to relax the more she fussed. After a few minutes I got talking to a friend. Before I knew it Paisley was asleep. I looked down and found that her headband had fallen over her eyes and she was completely asleep. Duh! It hit me. Paisley was able to fall asleep because she was forced to close her eyes and because the light was blocked out. I decided that Paisley needed an eye mask. We were coming back to Utah in a few days and I didn't want to repeat what our flight to TN was like. Neither Paisley or Hunter really slept on the way to TN and it was a little crazy to say the least. For the next few days I searched the Internet for hours trying to find a place that I could order infant and child sized eye masks from for the flight to Utah. I couldn't find anything like that. So, with my sister-in-law Sharalee's help, I made Hunter and Paisley some eye masks.
The flight home to Utah was a breeze. Hunter slept 2 1/2 hours and Paisley slept for 2.
I had people on the airplane ask me where I got them. I even had a single boy that couldn't believe how well they worked. When I got back to Utah I was excited to have something to help Paisley sleep at church. I carried the mask with me wherever I went just in case I was in the grocery store and she needed a nap or in case I was walking the kids around the mall in a stroller. Well, one day I was at the pediatricians because Paisley was sick. When I went to pull something out of my purse the eye mask fell out. My doctor saw it and loved it. She said I needed to get a business license, get it patented and get them in stores. I thought about it for the next few days and then one day...I did it. I got my business license. My mother and my uncle got working on my patent, I found a manufacturer and the rest is history.
Right now Baby Lilac eye masks are in 9 stores and in starting March 1st they are in the Eloisa and Mia showroom in the California fashion market! And, I am sending them out for lead testing for the new CPSIA compliance law for which they will easily pass. Here are a few photos of the masks. There are 9 different designs and 4 different sizes. Newborn, Infant, Child and Adult.

Jen, I just wanted to give you a shout out about your recent enrollment at the Redken School in Nashville! I am sooooo proud of you, and know that you are going to do GREAT! I know you are super busy, but I really miss your face! You are going to make one fabulous stylist/colorist, I am sure of it! I love you a ton, and if you get a minute, give me a shout. Until then know that I am cheering you on from over here!

As Requested from Britt Cottle!

Here are some recent Belly pictures of this pregnancy! This little boy isn't going to have any problems growing, I am pretty positive of that!

We Miss You in Tennessee!

Just recently Britt and her amazing family were able to come home to Tennessee for a while! I was more than excited to see her and the amazing person she is, her two beautiful children, and her wonderful husband who shares her with me so well! I have said it many times how much I love her and that she is beyond wonderful! I miss you a ton Britt, but I know I will get to see you soon!

The boys were also able to spend sometime together. Even though the time wasn't very long, they acted as if they were together everyday since forever! We had Britt and the kids over for dinner one night, but poor Hunter wasn't feeling so well. On the way to my house he told Britt that he needed to throw up in the toliet! Oh no, they were still on their way. He was quite a trooper and held out until he got to our house. Needless to say, that was a short visit.

I wish I would have gotten some pictures of Britt and I, but she got a few cute ones. Here are the pictures of Aiden and Hunter!

I think this one may be my favorite!!!!
I just realized that I didn't get any pictures of Paisley either, but I must say she is just as beautiful as her Mommy!

Its...

A Baby Brother!!!!!

We are sooo over the moon excited! We really thought at one point we weren't going to get to find out. He wouldn't uncross his legs. Thankfully, he understands that Mommy just couldn't handle not knowing, and he decided to cooperate! Everything looks really good, so at this point we just need to fatten him up! According to the ultrasound he is 9oz and around 9-10inches from head to toe. He was a wiggly worm and moving all around, and get this SUCKING HIS THUMB! We even got to see him open and close his mouth while searching for his hand to get in his mouth!

I am so grateful to have another baby, and even better for Aiden to have a brother! We have been so blessed!

I will try to remember to update tomorrow night, but I may forget, so don't shoot me or you'll never know! I will definately update in a couple days or so. Please wish us luck that we will have a baby will all of its parts! We are just looking forward to Healthy!!!!

My Sweet Hubby!!!

I must comment on how sweet my husband has been lately. Today I came home from a day of feeling crappy...just thought I'd be done throwing up at 17 weeks...a long night at dance, and a baby with a fever, only to find a dozen white roses waiting for me on the dining room table! That really is just the start of it!

Since being pregnant I have been soooo sick, and sweet Josh has taken the load BIG time! He is washing clothes (okay he always does this better than me), making an extra effort to take Aiden as soon as he gets home to give me time to myself, cleaning any other various area that needs cleaning (okay, we don't have to say he doesn't do bathrooms)! Beyond the cleaning, he is has just been soooo patient with my mood swings, and cravings...even going out to get me cereal at 10pm! I just don't think I take the time to thank him enough! So, I am making it public! Baby, thank you sooo much for all you do, as well as being a fantastic daddy, husband, and provider! I love you everyday! (Even the days that we don't need to talk about :o)

Aiden, the Pumpkin Patch, and Our Evening Carving!

Wow! What a fun time the fall is! I know I have said it before, but I just think its the best of all seasons. In fall you have lots of colorful leaves, nice weather, pumpkins, mums, and pumpkin carving...Oh and Halloween too! Best of all this fall I have an energy filled almost 16 month old little boy to enjoy all of these wonderful things with. To be honest, he still prefers to play in the rocks, or mulch....but he will bring me a few fallen leaves here and there.

On this past Saturday we took Aiden to the Ring Farm pumpkin patch. We were lucky enought that we were able to share this day with Nana, Papa, Gavin (Aiden's fav), and Molly...oh umm not to mention me and Josh (we were a givin right?) Aiden had a blast, but I think it was Gavin that loved sliding on the Homemade slide at Ring Farm the most! Seriously at on point I think he went up and down the slide for 20 minutes straight!

Once Nana showed Aiden the little pumpkins (you know the munchkin ones?!) He didn't really want much to do with any others hehe! They were just his size and he could pick them up easily. I'm pretty sure that he picked out and put back the pumpkins the entire time we were picking out the pumpkins to carve!

Within the next few days we jumped into our pumpkin carving! That was a TON of fun, and even more family joined us for that...in addition that night were Granny and Papa Cornwall, Aunt Heather, and Uncle Kyle! Add in everyone from the pumpkin patch and we had a house full of love! It was so much fun, and I think the kiddos really enjoyed themselves! Did I mention we lured everyone over with chili and hot dogs? Yumm!

Our finished products!!! The first two are Gavin's and the little one on the end is Aiden's!

Here are a few more pics from the weekend of pumpkin fun! Enjoy!!!

I'm not Lion, I'm Gonna Be a Big Brother!

I am officially 14 weeks 5 days pregnant! I know many or most of you already know, but this time around, we didn't do any kind of official announcement other than to family! So here it is!
Due Date: April 16,2009

We are so excited to expand our family, and even more so to see Aiden as a big brother! He is really going to be great! He has a baby doll that he loves and hugs and kisses, he even puts it on his shoulder and "burps" it. He really is a sweet boy! I ask him all the time if this next baby is going to be as sweet as he is, and he always says "NO!" haha! I hope its at least almost as sweet!

This baby will be my parents 2nd grandchild, and Josh's parent's 8th! It will be loved more than I can possibly say between us, a big brother, all the grandparents, aunts and uncles, and so many of our wonderful friends!

I will come back with another official announcement November 17 whether this is a baby boy or baby girl! What do you think?

Its the First Day of FALL!!!!

I can't help but think about fall today! As I think about fall, and how much I truly love the leaves, the weather, the caramel apples, I am constantly reminded of Yates Cider Mill in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

We used to go as kids and tour the facility! It was so much fun watching them press the apples and all the juice that came out was amazing! The best part though was the hot apple cider and cinnamon doughnuts that we had at the end!

A few years ago, I thought Josh should be able to enjoy Michigan in the Fall, so that he could have fond memories the way I do, and Travis does! Michigan is best in the Fall! So, we took the 1o hour drive to Michigan, and off to Yates Cider Mill we went! It was fun to be able to share that with him. Unfortunately they don't allow you to tour the entire place anymore. I can't wait to be able to take Aiden and any other children to Yates and share a piece of my childhood with them!

I think we are being sent some hard trials!

So I know that we all are sent trials to learn and grow from. Lately they just keep coming.

The trials I am talking about are of all of our great friends moving away (not to say we don't still have great ones here)! About 2 years ago we started losing our friends to their families! Now who would want to go home? Aren't we family enough? hehe! Okay, so family wasn't the sole reason, it was work, or school, or something else equally important. First it was Matt and Lisa Hill, great family, and Josh and Matt were really great friends! Then it was Todd and Brittany Cottle, need we say more! We love them! Then the ball dropped for me 2 weeks ago when Joe and Brittany Nabrotzky left for Utah also....did I mention everyone left for Utah? And today we found out that our next door neighbors are trying to sell their house. To move where? No, not Utah, but closer to family! It is just hard to see the rainbow through the rain.

Britt, I just want you to know that you are well missed, and a sweet angel sent to me at the perfect time. I truley believe that you are in Utah for a reason, well a very obvious reason, hehe! But beyond that I know there is a deeper reason for you being there, just as there was a deeper reason for you being in Tennessee! If you can give to the people of Utah what you gave to me these past 2 years, they will be a blessed people! I love you sister, and can't wait to see you!

He Walks!!!

Aiden has been trying very hard lately to take off, and just before his birthday party I really thought he would. He had been taking a few steps at a time, and then a few more. Well about a week and a half ago, he did it! He took off and hasn't stopped since.

Our time with Aiden these days are spent taking his hands out of the dog food and water, trying our darndest to keep him out of our cabinets (everything ends up all over the floor), and off our stairs!

Not only can he walk, but he can CLIMB! The scariest of it all! Walking is no big deal, it keeps me running and on my toes, but climbing is sooo scary! He loves climbing up the stairs, but can't quite grasp the concept of coming down them yet. I have to say I think I am a pretty laid back Mommy, I let him go and I follow behind him. He just loves it so much. I want him to learn how to do things, and feel fufilled, but I think Josh and I need to make a trip to Target for another baby gate! We have one at the top of the stairs!

Yeah for you Aiden, you get bigger and bigger everytime I turn around!
Here is a link to Aiden's 1st year montage. I can't figure out how to post it so you can just watch it here yet. So sorry for the link.

A Crazy June

Okay, so I know I started this a while ago, and I promised that we would be doing the blog thing, so here we go.

June was CRAZY!!! Aiden turned 1 June 25, Josh had scout camp, and my brother came into town for 10 days! We did 2 parties (that's right 2 parties) for Aiden's birthday. YIKES! Never again! I wanted to do one on the weekend, and then one for just family on his real birthday, and it was waaayyy too much! Tons of fun, and he was a trooper, thank goodness for a laid back kid, but never again! hahaha!

Josh is a scoutmaster as many of you all know, and last year during scout camp, I was giving birth! This year, we were having Aiden's birthday party! Sounds like Aiden will be sharing birthdays with scout camp for some time to come.

And how did I forget to mention Aiden's first baseball game! The Nashville Sounds played the day that Uncle Travis came to town, so we decided to catch the game!

Travis, my bro, was in town June 21-June 30! It was so much fun to see him and for Aiden to be able to play with Uncle Travis! I was so amazed at the way he took right to him as if they never missed a beat in 3 months! Trav, you are awesome, and I couldn't ask for a better person to call my brother, and best friend!

Aiden and Cooper!
