Aiden's 2nd Birthday Party!

Well, my big boy is going to be 2 on Wednesday and he partied like he was 10! It was a blast! Of course Aiden was born in the heat of the summer and he LOVES outside, so it was HOT! We made sure to have plenty of water fun for the kids, like, his shark pool, a ballpit turned pool, and Josh hooked the hose up to the sprayer on our slide! All of the kiddos played in the water while the adults just watched and melted a bit hehe!

Everyone was sooooo generous and his toy box has been officially restocked! He got a tricycle/motorcycle, a mini trampoline, and a big dump truck among many other fabulous gifts! Thank You to all of our family for coming and sharing his day with us!

Here are a few pics for you to enjoy!

A Name and a Blessing

Well, Sunday was Cooper's blessing day! Josh gave him a beautiful blessing. The part that really rang true for the moment though was that he would start feeling better and get some rest. As most know, Cooper has been dealing with reflux since he was 2 weeks old and even though he has been on meds for it, he was still unable to get good sleep. He has been comfort nursing for at least every 2 hours sometimes more since the day he was born. It has been rough on all of us especially him. Well, Monday night just 1 day after his blessing, he slept from 8:30 till 3am!!! He slept almost as long last night also! He has been taking somewhat scheduled naps during the day as well! It could be coincidence, or age, or both, but I'm guessing not.
It really was a great day spent with Family! Josh's brother and sister in law and their 2 girls came in for the weekend and we were able to get a full family picture on his side of the family. I wish Travis could have been there, but he can only take so much off of work (see you next week bro!)
My mother in law made his outfit, and my Mom gave him his blanket and booties. Josh made sure I swaddled him before the blessing so he wouldn't cry, and he was a perfect angel through the whole thing! Not one peep!!!

I am so grateful for my family especially all of my boys, Josh, Aiden, and Cooper, I love you all!

Camping we will go!

We go camping at the Tennessee River every summer with Josh's family. It is something I have truely grown to love and something we want to share with our boys. Aiden was only a few weeks old the first time he went camping and boating, and Cooper spent his first night there at 6 weeks old! this picture is decieving though...there is running water, indoor plumming, and airconditioning in his parents' trailor. Josh, being the boy scout that he is does not use the trailor, and always sleeps in a tent. I usually do, but since we were camping with Cooper at such a young age, he and I stayed in the trailor over night. Aiden, however, slept with Daddy in the tent with no problems!!! I was so proud of him!

"Bus You Tooper..."

...Is what I heard as I was walking down the stairs yesterday after Cooper had sneezed! Aiden is such a sweet big brother and is starting to learn how to use nice words like Bless You and Excuse me. I am blown away everyday at the rapid pace at which he is growing and learning. Sentences are in abundance and most of the new things he comes up with I know for sure I didn't sit him down and teach him...he is such a SPONGE...so watch what you say hehe!
This picture was taken after he and I decided to make cookies the other day while Cooper was sleeping. Our one on one time these days is very valuable! We try our best to spend time doing fun things like cookies and playing basketball. After we had finished putting the cookies in the oven and I was cleaning up and noticed that I didn't hear Aiden. I turned around and here he was sitting in front of the oven. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I watch a Tookies!" He was so excited and sat there for a while.
This has become our favorite pasttime on hot days! Aiden LOVES his pool. I think he may spend just as much time outside of it dumping water into the grass as he does inside.

I love my little man and just can't belive how big he is getting. This post is to remind me of all the sweet things he does and that he isn't just tantrums and timeouts. We have had alot of those lately, but I'm choosing not to dwell right now.

A Long Overdue Update

Well, I know it has been a while since I have updated, so here it goes.
I am STILL pregnant...hopefully not too much longer though! I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks and was on bedrest for 2 weeks, and modified bedrest for 1 week (what does that mean, modified, really?!!)...Between Josh, my mom, and my mother in law, I was able to stick pretty good to the bed rest regimen. Everyone was so sweet and helpful! At first Aiden had a hard time not being with me 24/7, but now he just waves and says "BYE Momma!" hehe! I think he's gotten used to the idea of going!

I am currently 38 weeks and ready! Everyday I am hoping this will be the day. I don't get a ton of sleep anymore, not only because I have to get up to go to the restroom about 3 times a night, but because every contraction I have makes me think that maybe I'll be going into labor and I'm too excited to sleep. That excitement catches up with me around 4am everytime!

Aiden is getting soooo big and talking like crazy! His big thing right now is, "I do it!" He is terribly independent! It really is a good thing, but can lead to some serious frustration on his part when its something he just can't do. He has learned that "Your Welcome" goes with "Thank You" and I must say its too cute to hear him say it. His language that we don't completely understand still seems to run the majority of his vocabulary though. He will repeat just about anything, and even more so if his cousin Gavin is asking him to.

Josh has been busy between work and scouts, and man does scouts keep him busy!!! He is wonderful at what he does for these boys and he truely cares for them! They just recently went on a 20 Mile hike!!! I can't even fathom the thought of walking ALL DAY LONG! They started at 6am and finished around 6pm. Way to go Guys!! I think I am in the clear to have a baby at this point, all of the big scouting events are done for at least a couple weeks...I think...hehe!

Our Trip to Arizona! We Miss You Uncle Travis!

My brother moved to Arizona in September of 2001, just before 9/11! We have done our level best to either fly him here, or go there several times a year every year since. We are an extremly close family, so having him so far away is very hard. We miss him incredibly, but the opportunities and lifestyle out there fit him to a T and I wouldn't ask for anything less for him! He is an amazing brother, and just as good of an uncle.
We flew about 2 weeks ago, and Aiden flew like a champ. As we went through the checkin, and security, people kept asking if this was his first flight. I was happy to say Nope, this is like his umm 5th! We have had Aiden on an airplane from the time he was 4 months old...I didn't even fly for the first time until I was 15 I think.
We had a great time visiting with Travis and his girlfriend, Jess! Aiden now has quite a little crush on Jess! hehe! By the end of the first day he could say her name! Watch out Trav, you may have some competition! Here are some pics of our stay!!

Baby Lilac and My AMAZING entreprenure friend!!!

So, while I was in college, I took an entreprenureship class, and the one thing you heard over and over again, was get out there, and find out what isn't being offered and offer it! Well, that is just what Mrs. Brittany Nabrotzky did! I am beyond proud of her, her hardwork, and all the stress and long nights that come along with the territory. She is pretty amazing! Here is her story!!!

I am finally at a point in this business where I can post about it. It has been a crazy whirlwind around the Nabrotzky house for quite a few months. A few months back I was in Tennessee at church. I was bouncing Paisley in the hall trying to get her to fall asleep. The more I tried to get her to relax the more she fussed. After a few minutes I got talking to a friend. Before I knew it Paisley was asleep. I looked down and found that her headband had fallen over her eyes and she was completely asleep. Duh! It hit me. Paisley was able to fall asleep because she was forced to close her eyes and because the light was blocked out. I decided that Paisley needed an eye mask. We were coming back to Utah in a few days and I didn't want to repeat what our flight to TN was like. Neither Paisley or Hunter really slept on the way to TN and it was a little crazy to say the least. For the next few days I searched the Internet for hours trying to find a place that I could order infant and child sized eye masks from for the flight to Utah. I couldn't find anything like that. So, with my sister-in-law Sharalee's help, I made Hunter and Paisley some eye masks.
The flight home to Utah was a breeze. Hunter slept 2 1/2 hours and Paisley slept for 2.
I had people on the airplane ask me where I got them. I even had a single boy that couldn't believe how well they worked. When I got back to Utah I was excited to have something to help Paisley sleep at church. I carried the mask with me wherever I went just in case I was in the grocery store and she needed a nap or in case I was walking the kids around the mall in a stroller. Well, one day I was at the pediatricians because Paisley was sick. When I went to pull something out of my purse the eye mask fell out. My doctor saw it and loved it. She said I needed to get a business license, get it patented and get them in stores. I thought about it for the next few days and then one day...I did it. I got my business license. My mother and my uncle got working on my patent, I found a manufacturer and the rest is history.
Right now Baby Lilac eye masks are in 9 stores and in starting March 1st they are in the Eloisa and Mia showroom in the California fashion market! And, I am sending them out for lead testing for the new CPSIA compliance law for which they will easily pass. Here are a few photos of the masks. There are 9 different designs and 4 different sizes. Newborn, Infant, Child and Adult.

We Miss You in Tennessee!

Just recently Britt and her amazing family were able to come home to Tennessee for a while! I was more than excited to see her and the amazing person she is, her two beautiful children, and her wonderful husband who shares her with me so well! I have said it many times how much I love her and that she is beyond wonderful! I miss you a ton Britt, but I know I will get to see you soon!

The boys were also able to spend sometime together. Even though the time wasn't very long, they acted as if they were together everyday since forever! We had Britt and the kids over for dinner one night, but poor Hunter wasn't feeling so well. On the way to my house he told Britt that he needed to throw up in the toliet! Oh no, they were still on their way. He was quite a trooper and held out until he got to our house. Needless to say, that was a short visit.

I wish I would have gotten some pictures of Britt and I, but she got a few cute ones. Here are the pictures of Aiden and Hunter!

I think this one may be my favorite!!!!
I just realized that I didn't get any pictures of Paisley either, but I must say she is just as beautiful as her Mommy!
